This paper studies on how BIBFRAME adapt to the new cataloging environment with Semantic Web technologies by looking through the technical details of the functional requirements and implementation. It mainly focuses on the technology architecture based on Linked Data, the latest release of BIBFRAME vocabularies based on Ontology modeling, and the authority control framework in the network environment, which are all core ideas and technologies of Sematic Web. It also gives out several typical cases to draw a conclusion that BIBFRAME could improve library services and library cataloging workflow on the data level.
